For over 30 years, Dixie Dental and Denture Center has been and continues to be one of the Miami Valleys premier sources for dental services. Opened by Dr. Jeffrey Kleinman in 1978 Dixie Dental and Denture Center continues to bring the highest quality services at affordable rates. Whether youre getting a tooth removed or you have a root canal that needs work, you can choose from IV sedation and nitrous oxide to soothe your nerves and give you the least painful dental care possible. If your impacted or partially impacted wisdom teeth are causing you pain, dont wait any longer! We offer same day emergency care for when the pain is overwhelming and appointments Monday - Saturday for your convenience. Cleaning, or prophylaxis, is a series of procedures whereby calculus, stains, or other particles are removed from the clinical crowns of your teeth. Your teeth are also then polished and flossed to prevent cavities. Dentures, also known as dental plates, can be defined as a set of artificial teeth. They can be used when a patient has lost real teeth on the mandibular arch, maxillary arch, or both. Apicoectomy is a surgical procedure that attempts to remove infection, which is usually the result of a failed root canal surgery. This infection can happen from the tip of the root where nerves and blood vessels enter the tooth and travel through a canal inside the root and pulp chamber inside the crown. Crowns or bridges are restorations that are fabricated in a lab that reproduces the entire surface of the crown and fit it over a prepared tooth. Sometimes we connect these crowns to replace missing teeth with what is called a bridge. Another option to fill those gaps where missing teeth once were, is dental implants. Dental implants are much more permanent than a bridge and you do not have to disturb the healthy teeth on either side like you do with a bridge. There are three common types of teeth whitening for you to choose from. Whitening strips or brush on agents can be used for minimal stains or bleaching, and cause the least amount of sensitivity.
