Dr. Verma is passionate about providing high quality care with kindness and sensitivity. Her compassion stems from having been a patient numerous times at an early age and from going through the cancer journey for many years with her mother. After completing her training at the University of Texas Medical Branch and M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, she moved to Austin with her family of three to join a community private practice. When the opportunity to return to her hometown and join Houston Methodist arose, she packed up her family of now four, and moved back to the greater Houston area. Dr. Vermas research interests centers on reducing radiation therapy associated side effects and improving patient outcomes by combining radiation therapy with chemotherapy and / or immunotherapy.
