Smith is a privately-held national full-service wholesale drug distributor that offers a complete line of branded and generic pharmaceuticals, OTC/HBC, home health care products, surgical supplies, seasonal merchandise and marketing programs for retail, managed care and government pharmacies. Company affiliations include the American Society of Health-System Pharmacist, the Association of Military Surgeons of the United States, Commissioned Officers Association and the Food Marketing Institute. In 1954, Henry Dale Smith established H.D. Smith and the company has since grown into a nation full-line and full-service distributor. Its corporate office is in Springfield, Ill., with distribution centers located in Fort Worth, Texas, Wood Dale, Ill., Inglewood, Calif., Carlstadt, N.J., and Pompano Beach, Fla.
