With 15 years of experience in the construction trades, not mentioning my years of secondary education, it is no surprise that General Contracting would become my livelihood. In 1990, Nelson First Consulting LLC first came into existence. In 1999, through the Minnesota Department of Health, I became a Licensed Lead Abatement Supervisor in addition to my General Contractors license. It wasnt long and my interests in lead grew. After getting involved in lead-related projects, experiencing the safe handling, of the various lead hazards, in these projects and seeing the problems that lead presents to individuals in theirs homes, I decided to pursue expanding my lead career. I became a fully accredited and Licensed Risk Assessor and received the certification for my business as a Certified Lead Consulting Firm in 2005. Since then, I have been involved in doing assessments for everything from small residential structures to large apartment complexes ; I am qualified and fully capable of tackling any job.
