The Coleman Federal Correctional Complex is a prison facility that operates the Federal Correctional Institution, which is a low security facility housing male inmates. The complex also maintains the United States Penitentiary. The Coleman Federal Correctional Complex is a part of the Federal Bureau of Prisons, which is a federal law enforcement agency subdivision of the Department of Justice. It is responsible for the administration of the federal prison system. The bureau consists of more than 15 institutions, over five regional offices and several staff training centers. The Federal Bureau of Prisons also maintains nearly 25 community corrections offices.
