Fire Station No. 2 is one of 30 stations run by the Gwinnett County Department of Fire and Emergency Services, the largest fire service district in the state. Gwinnett Fire includes 850 firefighters serving the county's 800,000 residents. The department answers 65,000 calls each year. For a map of Gwinnett Fire Stations, click here. The station is located on Harmony Grove Road just south of Lawrenceville Highway (U.S.) and is one of three stations servicing the Lilburn area. Eighteen firefighters, working in 24-hour shifts of six, man the station. It has one fire engine and a life-support medical unit. The City of Loganville Fire Department operates out of three fire stations within two miles of each other and manned by 21 full-time, 15 part-time and four administrative staff members. This location, the department's headquarters known as Station 2, has one engine and houses the fire marshall's office. Fire Chief Danny Roberts is based in this location. Walton County Emergency Management Services houses one of its ambulances at Station 2.
Also known as the Community Risk Reduction Division, the Fire Marshal's Office is at One Justice Square. The office is responsible for investigating fires, fire inspections, fire code enforcement and following up on complaints from residents about fire and safety hazards. The office also enforces state and county burning regulations.
