Fire Station No. 2 is one of 30 stations run by the Gwinnett County Department of Fire and Emergency Services, the largest fire service district in the state. Gwinnett Fire includes 850 firefighters serving the county's 800,000 residents. The department answers 65,000 calls each year. For a map of Gwinnett Fire Stations, click here. The station is located on Harmony Grove Road just south of Lawrenceville Highway (U.S.) and is one of three stations servicing the Lilburn area. Eighteen firefighters, working in 24-hour shifts of six, man the station. It has one fire engine and a life-support medical unit. The Dalton Fire Department provides fire suppression and rescue services to the city of Dalton, Ga. The department is a division of the city s government. It provides mitigation of and recovery from a variety of conditions that adversely threaten the safety of the public. The department s primary operations consist of confining and extinguishing various types of fires. As an extension of the department s rescue services, it also provides pre-hospital, emergency medical care. In addition, it controls spills and incidents involving hazardous materials and participates in campaigns for community awareness regarding fire safety. The Dalton Fire Department operates several stations throughout the city.

This location, the department's headquarters known as Station 2, has one engine and houses the fire marshall's office. Fire Chief Danny Roberts is based in this location.
