The Consolidated Fire District No. 2 serves more than 55,000 citizens in an area of over 15 square miles. It is a full-service public safety agency that works to provide fire suppression, emergency medical and life support rescue services, and public safety education to residents. The department conducts fire safety inspections and station tours, as well as participates in various public events. The Consolidated Fire District No. 2 is comprised of more than 65 captains, rescue operators and fire fighters. Its fleet includes engines, rescue vans, reserve vehicles and trucks. The department maintains a communication center that coordinates responses to fire and medical emergency and nonemergency calls.
