The Bismarck Rural Fire Department serves the patrons of the Bismarck Rural Fire Protection District. The department offers fire fighting and prevention, public education, emergency and nonemergency response services. With a staff of more than 35 employees, it serves over 20,000 people. The Bismarck Rural Fire Department employs firefighters, medical directors and assistant chiefs. It has a fleet of engines, tankers, brush trucks, rangers, all terrain vehicles and trailers.
