Established in 1954, Clark County Washington Fire District 6 provides round-the-clock fire protection in the form of three-person engine crews at each of its three stations. An additional crew of at least two persons responds on rescue apparatus. Augmented by a volunteer force, and led by at least one chief officer, the fire department can field more than eight engines, aerial-ladder apparatus, air-supply, rescue and brush fire units, command vehicles, and boats. Its firefighters and officers are trained to Washington State Emergency Medical Technician certification.
