The Head Start of York County is a federal- and state-funded child development program, which is designed to meet the needs of preschool children and their families. It includes educational, medical, dental, mental health, nutritional and early childhood development support services. The program features an active learning curriculum that includes games, problem solving opportunities and interaction with other students. The Head Start of York County also includes speech, occupational and physical therapy sessions for children with various disabilities. In addition, it features hearing, vision, height and weight screenings. The program s family and community partnership unit works as its case management department.
