Buddy's Home Furnishings was founded in 1961 by Norman "Slat" Slatton, Sr. in the Tampa, Florida area. Today there are more than 75 stores in Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas. This Bradenton location is staffed with an amiable crew and while the focus of their business is renting and selling home furnishings, electronics and appliances, they also are active in the community. As assistant manager Jamie Sanders points out, they sponsor Manatee High School and recently gave away a 42" plasma TV in a drawing at a Bucs game.
