When Imagine! first opened its doors, the organization served 100 consumers. Presently, it serves more than 1,750 people and their families each year. Imagine! was the first community centered board in Colorado. The organization creates and offers support to local citizens with cognitive, developmental, physical and health-related needs so they may live more independently in their homes and communities. Cognitive disabilities it specializes in include mental retardation, autism, Down syndrome, epilepsy and cerebral palsy. A private, nonprofit, Imagine! also works with children from birth to three years of age who are at risk of having cognitive disabilities or who have developmental delays.
