Located in Astoria, Ore., Clatsop Community College is a public two-year institution has been providing educational service since 1958. It is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities and has an enrollment of more than 6,500 students. It offers a variety of academic course instruction and training in liberal arts and sciences, professional technical fields, and continuing, developmental and general education. Its associate of applied science degrees includes accounting, business management, crafts and industrial trades, criminal justice and fire science. In addition to the main campus facilities, it has a performing arts center and waterfront marine and integrated manufacturing technology training facilities. Clatsop Community College also provides distance education classes in a wide range of delivery methods to serve students enrolled in off-campus courses, such as through television utilizing the local cable station and online courses.
