San Francisco International Airport SFO is the 2nd busiest airport in California following Los Angeles International Airport. Originally SFO Airport opened as Mills Field Municipal Airport in 1927 and was renamed San Francisco Municipal Airport in 1931 and finally San Francisco International Airport in 1955.
