The San Ramon Valley Islamic Center was established in 1992. Since then, the center's membership has grown from 30 families to over 300.

The center offers several services to the San Ramon community including regular prayers at the center office, a children's Islamic school, adult and youth education classes, community outreach opportunities and activities and services for the center's senior members. The Tawheed Center is a religious education center for adults and children primarily serving as a Masjid to the Islamic community. The Tawheed Center serves not only as a social community for Muslims but as an Islamic Da'wah center. The center has a gym with open gym, ladies gym, badminton, volleyball and basketball at set times. The center also has Maktab, Quran Nazira and Sunday School programs for boys and girls. It also offers Hifz school every day except Sunday. The Dhuhr prayer is on Sunday at 2 p.m.

Formerly known as Masjid Omar a-Farooq, this Islamic center was founded to provide education and social services to the Muslim community of Contra Costa County. With a full-time imam, it offers the five daily prayers, Arabic and Islamic classes for children, study groups for women and interfaith and community initiatives.
