The Amity Teen Center caters to all ages, but especially targets high school students between the ages of 13 and 19. The facility includes a computer room stocked with PCs where teens can do homework, "game" or browse Facebook. The center has every game console ever made and stocks hundreds of games. Snacks and beverages are available at the Internet Cafe. Thursday is Open Mic Night, and Friday and Saturday during the school year live bands play starting at 7pm. A recent addition is the 2,000 square foot, fenced-in outdoor basketball court.
The Madison Arts Barn houses the Madison Cable Access Group and a teen center run by Friends of Madison Youth. Neither is a government organization.
The teen center sponsors dances, camps, workshops and after-school activities for the town's youth. It hosts regular Band Nights where local bands show their talent. There is an outdoor skatepark here as well.
The Madison Cable Access Group is a nonprofit, tax-exempt volunteer organization that gives residents the ability to broadcasat non-commercial programs on local channels 18 (public), 19 (education) and 20 (government).
The Augusta Curtis Cultural Center is a nonprofit organization that offers a variety of arts and sciences-related lectures, interactive programs and exhibits. It also is available for private events, including weddings and parties. To view a calendar of upcoming events, visit the website provided.
The Hungry Tiger Cafe and Restaurant is owned by Donald F. Denley. It offers live entertainment and a plethora of food and beverages. It has received numerous awards for being the "Best Blues Club," and has had famous musicians from around the country come through its doors. There are banquet facilities for up to 50 people.
The Friends Cafe features more than a dozen choices of draft beer, a martini bar, specialty margaritas and various cocktails. Happy hour is from 4pm to 6pm. It's a great place to meet up with friends and hear live music. Private party events also include Tupperware, Ladies' Night Out and Party Light Candles where you can check out the newest products while enjoying a glass a wine and dinner. A separate take out menu includes pizza, pasta, seafood and grinders.
