Wilson-Hurd Manufacturing was founded in 1904. Among the first products that it produced was a patented bag holder that was designed for agricultural and industrial uses, and remembrance advertising. Over the years, the company proved tremendous expansion. It Berlin, Wis. plant, for example, was built to accommodate the increased production load and new markets. With more expansion, other plants were built to improve the precision and productivity of the lithography printing process. This later included screen-printing and printing on plastic. By 1993, Wilson-Hurd began offering customized engineering solutions for electronic data input devices. In 2001 its optical film conversion plant was established in Berlin, Wis., featuring class 10,000 and class 100,000 clean-room environments. Wilson-Hurd Manufacturing is ISO 9001-2000 Certified. Key members of its organization have completed training in LEAN Manufacturing and 6-Sigma.
