The Granby Drummer issues a monthly newspaper filled with community news and events distributed free to residents. This nonprofit newspaper was founded in 1970 by the Citizens for a Better Granby. The Granby Drummer relies on volunteer support and encourages the public to submit articles and/or photos. Bargain News distributes a new edition of its publication at newsstands every Wednesday containing classified ads for everything from automobiles, boats and pets to furniture, computers and many other items. The ads can also be viewed on the Bargain News website.
The Mystic River Press is a free weekly newspaper and a daily news website serving the residents of Mystic, Stonington, North Stonington and sections of Groton, including Noank, Groton Long Point and town-wide issues in Groton. The paper was founded in the 1990's and is currently owned by the Sun Publishing Company. The paper occupies offices at 15 Holmes Street. This weekly publication covers a mix of news, features, local sports and commentary.
