Centrally located at the corner of Cherry and Elm streets, San Carlos Elms was founded in 1996 as a residential rental community that offers many conveniences and amenities to seniors such as transportation, planned activities, housekeeping, exercise and health programs, classes and personal assistance.  Within San Carlos Elms is The Grove, which furnishes the same residential comforts but also services to help those living with memory issues such as Alzheimer's and dementia. The front desk staff is very patient, professional and ready to address any questions about the facility, insurance coverage and  more. An underground parking lot is available for residents and visitors, the latter of whom may also find parking along the nearby streets.

Established in 2003, Youth and Family Enrichment Services is a private, nonprofit agency that provides support services for children, youths and adults. It serves individuals dealing with depression, substance abuse, violence, mental health, relationship and communication issues. The agency offers early intervention, educational, counseling and residential services. Youth and Family Enrichment Services educates parents, teachers and other community members about a range of emotional and behavioral difficulties. Its counseling programs help people resolve conflicts, strengthen family systems, and explore and develop personal identities. The agency additionally provides several programs that teach independent living skills and provide housing options. Youth and Family Enrichment Services operates 24-hour crisis, parent support, and alcohol and drug help lines.

Redwood City Art Center, established in 1993 with support from the City Council of Redwood City, is dedicated to promoting visual arts in the local community. Just a short walking distance from the Caltrain station and surrounded by a variety of popular restaurants and shops, RCAC is in a convenient and attractive place for visitors, artists and students. Redwood City Art Center The Art Centers approximately 10, 000 square feet is home to 34 artists in 25 studios. The space also has three small galleries for art exhibitions that are open to the public. Resident artists work in many mediums, including drawing, painting, Chinese calligraphy, murals, mixed media, assemblage, photography, book arts, and jewelry design.
