Dr. Woodman (MSUCOM 94) is an Urogynecologist and physician-educator from Indianapolis, IN. Dr. Woodman is double board-certified in OB/GYN and Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS), a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians & Gynecologists (Distinguished). Dr. Woodman is an expert in the vaginal approach to reconstructive surgery, as well as offering a broad set of laparoscopic and abdominal choices. He has published more than 40 scientific journal articles, book chapters and videos. He is a senior member of the American Osteopathic Board of Obstetrics & Gynecologys subcommittee on Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery, the American Urogynecologic Society, the International Continence Society, the International Urogynecologic Association, the American Osteopathic Association, and the Society of Gynecologic Surgeons. He is an active expert referee for 9 scientific journals, and is on the Editorial Board of Ob.Gyn.News. Dr. Woodman completed his residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc, MI (98). He is the first graduate of the US Armys board-accredited fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS), now housed in Washington, DC at the prestigious Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. After four years as a faculty member of the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and training our next generation of military physicians, Dr. Woodman became Assistant Director of Indiana Universitys FPMRS Fellowship program in 2005, where he served as Associate Clinical Professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology. Between 2012-2015, he served as Associate Professor and inaugural Chair of Specialty Care at Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He currently is the OBGYN Program Director at St. John Providence - Macomb, in Warren.
