With a very busy swimming pool in the summer months, Cofer Park offers competitive swim team events and lessons. The park also has a lake, nature trails, picnic tables, playgrounds and a softball field. It is named after a member of a prominent local family.
Thompson Park is a beautiful park, a setting perfect for playing with the children at one of the park's three playgrounds or peacefully feeding the ducks that reside in the park's pond. The wooded area surrounding the park offers a serene environment.
Also, the Thompson Community Center, which has a capacity of 300 people, provides a pleasant gathering place. It is equipped with a banquet room, a meeting room and a kitchen. A regular Jazzercise class is taught at the community center each week. The center can be reserved by a members of the public by contacting the parks and recreation department of Cobb County.
Brook Run Park, located in the Tilly Mill area, is Dunwoody's largest park. At 102 acres, it includes many amenities, including a dog park, community garden, veterans' memorial, pavilion, walking trails, multi-use fields, large playground, picnic area and a high-end skateboard park that includes two bowls. Coan Park is located in Atlanta's Edgewood neighborhood. The family-friendly park boasts tennis courts, a basketball court, baseball field and playgrounds.
Laurel Park, the city's largest park at 25 acres, features a tennis center, a one-mile track, two ponds, a sand volleyball court, an outdoor basketball court, two pavilions, an open play field and numerous picnic tables and grills.
Tennis Dynamics, a regional tennis facility management and player development company, manages the Laurel Park Tennis Center. The center includes 13 hard courts, each lighted for evening play, and offers an extensive range of tennis programs for juniors and adults.
Tennis Dynamics formed the Marietta Tennis Association. In September 2010, it ran the inaugural City of Marietta Open Tennis Championships.
Garden Hills Park, the centerpiece of the Garden Hills neighborhood, is a gathering place for friends and families. During summertime, the pool is full of kids, moms and dads. The community center welcomes community meetings, parties and musical events. A open field is the site of soccer games, kite flying, Frisbee and other activities. An annual highlight is the neighborhood ice cream social. The Garden Hills Neighborhood Foundation (www.ghnf.org) supports the city-owned park.
The Park at Greenbriar is an apartment community located just south of the Greenbriar Mall. These apartments offer one-, two- and three-bedroom units in several floor plans ranging from 700 square feet to 1560 square feet. The complex offers A/C and heating units, a fitness center, playground, balconies, Olympic-size swimming pool, club house and more. The complex also offers easy transportation.
Located just three miles west of Downtown Atlanta, Mozley Park includes a 100-person pavilion with a grill, a playground, two picnic shelters, two lighted softball fields, a tennis court, a basketball court, two multi-use courts, a PATH trail, a swimming pool and a recreation center.

As with all city parks, Mozley Park is governed by the city's Office of Parks official Park Use Rules and Guidelines.
