This park is nestled in between the Augsburg Park Library, the community center and the senior high school. The land was originally going to be developed into Minneapolis's Augsburg College, hence the name. The park offers a number of picnic tables, as well as six tennis courts, a bounce wall, a hockey rink, two playground areas, walking paths and a view of a small lake, which is home to many geese. During the winter months, the large hill at the northeast corner of the park provides an excellent sledding area for kids. In the summer, Augsburg Park can also serve as a concert venue.
