TYM is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving at-risk children in the San Francisco Bay area and Sacramento. Through summer camping and year-round follow-ups, these children gain a caring mentor and are encouraged to recognize their potential for a bright future. Programs are provided primarily to children in the Santa Clara, San Mateo, Contra Costa, Alameda and Sacramento counties.

Karuna Center was founded in 1994 to address the growing global challenges of ethnic, religious and political conflict. Our first long-term project engaged us in post-conflict reconciliation between former neighbors after the devastation of the Bosnian war. Karuna Center has worked in more than 25 countries around the world. The Karuna Center for Peacebuilding, Inc is a registered 501 ( c ) organization. From our Amherst, MA office our staff of four professionals along with our Board of Directors, International Advisory Board, and group of twelve Peacebuilding Associates work to develop and implement programs around the world. In partnership with the School for International Training in Vermont, Karuna Center staff and Associates also lead a summer institute and series of graduate certificate programs known as Conflict Transformation Across Cultures ( CONTACT ). In addition, we are a member of the Alliance for Peacebuilding, a network of peacebuilding organizations from the US and abroad and an affiliate organization of the International Fellowship of Reconciliation.

California Peace Action, based in Berkeley, Calif., has been focusing on the establishment of peace, justice and cooperative security for more than 50 years. The organization has launched several campaigns for reducing nuclear threat and support nonviolent resolutions to international conflicts. California Peace Action originated in 1987 by the merger of two disarmament and anti-war organizations. It integrates local communities throughout the United States to educate the public and activate constituents for ensuring better responsibility towards the U.S. policies. The organization has worked for building a political base for a new foreign policy. In addition, it has also worked in various districts throughout the nation as part of its peace voter campaign. California Peace Action has a membership base of more than 85,000 people. The organization has launched several campaigns on issues, such as landmine legislation, the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty, the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty and military budget cuts.
