This church nestled in the Westwood Hills neighborhood of St. Louis Park is a member of the Assemblies of God denomination. Sunday services feature drum, guitar and piano music and involve "interactive worship," as Pastor Bob Christenson describes, where members engage in prayer for a large portion of the service. The church features a gym and a children's room where youngsters attend Sunday services.
Mount Olivet states as its vision to bring the life and ministry of God to the church and to the world. The church offers ministries for everyone, including groups for men, women, students, young adults, kids, Hispanics and seniors. Mount Olivet's music ministry offers opportunities for instrumentalists, vocalists and ensembles, as well as technical individuals trained to work with the audio and visual equipment. Services are held several times during the week, including Sunday morning and evening, as well as Wednesday and Thursday evenings.
St. Mary's Health Clinic, a free clinic for the community, is available at Mount Olivet on Mondays and Wednesdays. Appointments are required and can be made by calling 651-287-7777.
CrossRoads Church believes in the Lord God and that He is revealed in three persons, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. CrossRoads uses a combination of contemporary and traditional music as a platform for a time of fellowship, reflection and experiencing God.
This community is committed to knowing Jesus Christ and sharing Him with others. It is located on Burnsville Parkway, just south of County Road 42.
Celebration Church has worship services in a beautiful state-of-the-art sanctuary, with almost 1,000 comfortable theater-style seats. Free Caribou coffee is served in the main lobby during services. Doughnuts and other goodies are also available for a small fee. The Children's Ministry serves children from birth through sixth grade, with Sunday School classes during the first service. The second service is Kids' Church. Amigos de Celebration is the Hispanic outreach of Celebration Church, which was established in 2005. Services are held at 1:30 p.m. Sundays.
