The Church of the Redeemer is an Episcopal church located in North Baltimore. The church also has Sunday school.
This large church is located in the heart of town. They offer informal, contemporary and traditional services. International missions include those in Cambodia and the Heifer Project International, as well as local programs such as FISH, Martha's Meal and the Harford Fuel Fund. All are welcome.
Established in 1979,the Mt. Washington Tavern offers American dishes focused on seafood and beef. The dark wood furnishing the front section of the restaurant, where the main and raw bars are located, evokes an Old English tavern feeling. Most diners are seated in the large, open greenhouse-like room in the rear. Salvaged items from Baltimore's history can be found throughout this historic landmark.
Although Columbia Baptist Fellowship (CBF) is not as large as some of the churches in Columbia, its service to others is not lacking. Fellowship is emphasized because "Columbia Baptist Fellowship is about people in Christ and Christ in people." Therefore do not expect a traditional church setting because CBF is "more controlled by the Spirit than structure." But do expect a warm environment, acceptance, love, and many opportunitites to serve God by serving others.
Celebrating their 45th anniversary in April 2011, St. Elizabeth Catholic Church has been serving the Rockville community for many years. The church has a large number of masses weekly, an active youth ministry, and adult and children's choirs.
The First Lutheran Church of Bowie reached a milestone in May of 2010, celebrating 100 years of service to its congregation and the community of Laurel. The church's youth ministry partners with Church World Services and Lutheran World Relief to collect health kits to send to Haiti.

Pleasant Hill Nursery is a part time nursery school attached to Pleasant Hill Church. The child care facility is affiliated with the United Methodist Religion. This nursery focus is attending to children between 3 and 4 years old. Pleasant Hill Nursery is located within the Church facilities and offers ample play equipment outside.
Right off of York Road, the Ascension Evangelical Lutheran Church offers a chapel-style place of worship for its weekly services. In addition to services on the Lutheran faith, the church offers several study groups and youth programs. It also has a choir program and child care during worship services.
The Rev. Chris Owens Sr. is the pastor at First United Methodist Church. Located in the historic district, it serves primarily the Laurel area and four other counties. The church has an interesting history that dates back as early as 1840. The church has ministries for all ages.

As the only Catholic church in Colesville, St. John the Baptist serves as the community's focal point. St. John the Baptist seeks to develop a spirit of Christian community and ministerial outreach in the Catholic tradition. St. John the Baptist has several ministries, including youth and athletic, social justice concerns, and a Parish School, which has courses for students in kindergarten through eighth grade.
Abundant Life Church is a Christian church with a very contemporary outlook and mission. All are welcome at its "celebrations" (services), which include modern christian "rocking" music as well as a free coffee bar. Lead Pastor Dan Mucci creates hip "teachings" that make Christian morality, studies, and sermons more accessible.
The church offers extensive opportunities for further involvement for both children and adults. Its website is very informative and updated weekly.
People of all backgrounds are welcome, and an atmosphere of acceptance is the church's primary goal. From the many young people sipping coffee at the outdoor tables, it seems to be a popular Sunday destination for the contemporary Christian set.
Towson Unitarian Universalist promotes liberal ideals and social action. Well-known activists are featured as guests at the church fairly regularly. The church is small but warm, nestled along a tree line that dips into a trail. And don't be fooled by the name. Towson Unitarian Universalist Church is actually located in Lutherville-Timonium, along Dulaney Valley Road.
Founded in 1829, the Oblate Sisters of Providence has the distinction of being the first Roman Catholic religious order founded by and for Catholic women of African descent. The order's mission has taken it to 18 states, 25 American cities and 6 foreign countries. Today, the order continues its ministries in service to children and the poor.
