The Giggle Factory offers a large multi-level play structure for children to play on seven days per week. For children under the age of three there is a separate play area geared toward toddlers. Adults can enjoy free internet while enjoying a cup of coffee and a sandwich in the coffee bar. Private rental and party packages are available upon request.
Willow River State Park is just north of the city and offers more than 3,000 acres of the great outdoors for visitors to enjoy. The main attraction is Willow Falls, a large waterfall that is only accessible by hiking. A smaller waterfall is created by the Little Falls Dam. There are 150 campsites spread across three campgrounds, a boat launch, a beach, a nature center, thirteen miles of hiking trails and nine miles of cross-country skiing trails. There are plenty of places to have a picnic or go for a quiet walk in the woods. Hunting is allowed on the park's undeveloped side. You have to buy a vehicle sticker to get into the park.
Cliffside Park is more than 220 acres. It offers camping, baseball diamonds, pavilions, and a playground.
While located in Fox Point, Doctors Park is actually a member of the Milwaukee County Parks System. The park is 55 acres and offers visitors beach access, playground equipment and large, open space.
Since 2009, Doctors Park is the home for the Milwaukee Grays vintage base ball team. Using equipment and rules from the 1860s, players attempt to illustrate the origins of baseball in what's called Vintage Baseball.
If you walk from the north end of the parking lot down what looks like a driveway, that path will take you through a deep ravine and woods to the beach.
