The Butler Borough Police Department is a municipal police department that opened in 1939. It is located within Morris County and serves the Borough of Butler. The Borough's Municipal Court is attached to the police department.
The Clark Police Department offers a full-range of services, including traffic patrol, investigations, a juvenile bureau and a records department. The department employs 40 full-time officers, 20 Special Law Enforcement officers, 21 school guards, seven civilian dispatchers and three clerical workers. Officers monitor four patrol districts by car, are constantly mobile and are known for their quick response time. The department works collaboratively with the volunteer fire department and volunteer EMS. Chief Denis Connell has led the department since 2007.
The Montclair Township Police Department maintains its headquarters at the corner of Bloomfield Avenue and Valley Road. The department responds to hundreds of emergency and non-emergency calls each month and is overseen by police chief David P. Sabagh. The department has uniform and investigation divisions and provides patrols, traffic enforcement, records management and other related services.
The Garwood Police Department is located within the Garwood Municipal Building. The department employs 16 officers and four civilian dispatchers. William D. Legg is chief, and has served as such since 2006.
The Millburn Police Department shares a facility in the Law Enforcement Building with the town's Municipal Court. In addition to police investigations, the department also offers safety checks for child safety seats in vehicles. Copies of accident reports are also available at the headquarters. The department has 54 officers, and is led by Police Chief David Barber.
The Cranford Police Department has over 50 law enforcement officers and 10 civilian communication officers. The department is split into two main divisions. The largest division, which is the patrol division, is often seen in Cranford as it focuses on traffic enforcement, preventative patrol and initial criminal investigations. All patrol officers are trained in first aid and emergency lifesaving techniques. Officers patrol Cranford by police car, motorcycle, bicycle and scooter.
The second, investigative division takes off where the patrol division ends. Detectives process crime scenes, interview suspects, witnesses and victims and follow leads.
Kinnelon Police Department is responsible for enforcing the law in the Borough of Kinnelon. The department can provide services, such as vacation house checks to residents of the borough. The department has 16 full-time police officers, one additional officer, one full-time dispatcher and several part-time dispatchers.
