The Or Hachaim Academy located on Sylvan Street in North Hollywood is the all-girls division of this well-known Jewish academy, with its coed parent school located on Lauren Canyon Drive. Located next door to the Adat Yeshurun Sephardic Temple, this small, private institution has a student body of just more than 150 young girls in grades pre-K through fifth. Rio Vista Elementary School teaches children from pre-Kindergarten through fifth grade. Nearly 400 children go to the school, and test scores have risen steadily in recent years. The school also has a respected GATE (Gifted and Talented Education) program and has been designated as a School for Advanced Studies (SAS).

The school feels strongly about dance, theater and visual arts, and there are technology classes and garden projects in the Hidden Garden located in the park next to the school. Parent involvement is an integral part of the school's philosophy. Cahuenga Nursery School and Kindergarten has been providing a safe learning environment to children from the ages of two to eight for more than 30 years. This nursery school offers many activities including gymnastics, dance and karate.

The church began with mass celebrated in a private home.  In 1921 the first building was purchased. The current campus was bought in 1952 and the building was consecrated in 1959 as parishioners, in solemn procession, moved into the new Saint Charles Borromeo Church. Father Bob Gallagher was assigned here in January, 2000. The choir director has been with the church for more than 50 years.  

Saint Charles Borromeo School's mission is "to prepare our students to become committed Catholics and academically prepared individuals who become life long learners."

The Saint Charles Borromeo Center across the street operated by volunteers provides eligible clients with free food, clothing, toiletries, books, toys, furniture, and other household items. Pregnant women are provided layettes and other available infant care items.

The St. Paul's First Lutheran Preschool is located on Tujunga Boulevard off of Magnolia in North Hollywood. The facility is run and operated by St. Paul's First Lutheran Church. Accepting children between the ages of 2 and 6 years old, the school provides age-appropriate language arts and math activities, as well as Christian-enriched curriculum, which includes daily Bible lessons and Wednesday morning chapel worship. Children enrolled in the program will also learn psalms with a view at singing them at church services. Tuition fees are listed on the website. Holy Trinity Armenian Church's red brick facade stands tall on Victory Blvd, near the intersection with Laurel Canyon Blvd. Services are performed in Armenian and English. There are also Armenian and English Bible study sessions. For children ages four to 13, a Saturday school is provided. There, kids are educated regarding Armenian language, religion, culture, history and music. At the far right end of the lot, there's even an Armenian pre-school for kids ages two to six. All are welcome at the Sunday services.
