Trinity Presbyterian Church is located on Tower Drive, just off Afton Road in Woodbury. The worship service is held at 10 a.m. on Sundays and there is childcare available. On Saturdays and the church also offers adult and child education programs from 9 to 10 a.m. There is also an Elder Friends program available that meets on Thursday mornings.
Nestled in the heart of Golden Valley along Lilac Drive since 1951 is Valley Community Presbyterian Church. It's a place that staff members say lives up to the motto of "Open House...Open Minds...Opening lives to God." Members of the congregation follow the work of Jesus by doing things such as building handicapped ramps, working on the garden located on the church grounds, or helping people in Haiti. Valley Community Presbyterian Church is open and welcoming to all.
First Presbyterian Church of Stillwater is a community-driven church that embodies a rich heritage of worship, prayer, music, study and spiritual growth. The congregation is made up of a diverse group, and the church has numerous missions and outreach programs within and outside the community. The church also offers a day care facility.
Lynnhurst is an open and affirming church only blocks from Lake Harriet. The liberal church welcomes congregants with music, Sunday School and fellowship in Southwest Minneapolis, regardless of sexual orientation or faith background. Lynnhurst's fellowship hall routinely hosts community and church events, including a yearly variety show. The hall routinely displays local art and showcases the musical talents of members.
Hope Church is located just a few blocks away from City Hall on Portland Avenue. The church was founded in 1953, when just a handful of people began worshipping as a Presbyterian congregation at Central Elementary School (located on the senior high school campus). Soon, plans to build were recognized and the offical site was opened in March 1954.
In addition to its Sunday services, the church offers a variety of services to its members and the community. Some of those services include:
- Loaves and Fishes: Four days a week , Hope Church works with Loaves and Fishes, a local charitable organization, to serve dinner to anyone who wishes to enjoy it—no questions asked.
- Vines & Branches, Clothing & More: The Church also accepts clothing and household item donations, which they sell at very affordable prices to the public.
- Hope's School-Age Care: A licensed morning and afternoon child-care program for children in kindergarden through 6th grade. All are welcome.
- Hope Pre-school: The school teaches children age 3 through 5.
English tutoring, interview preparation, and family, adult, student and marriage ministries are also offered.
First Presbyterian Church of Shakopee has one of the longest histories of any church in Scott County. One of the church's primary missions is Christian-centered education. It offers child and adult Sunday school, men's and women's bible study groups, and vacation bible school for kids.
Sunday worship service at Spirit of Life begins every Sunday at 10:00am, with Communion celebrated on the first Sunday of each month. Childcare is provided during the worship service. Following the service, Sunday School classes are offered for children and adults. A Youth Program is available, which includes service activities as well as fun monthly group events.
