Gingerbread Preschool is a public preschool that is a program of the Parks and Community Services Department. Lydiksen Elementary School is located in the northwest region of Pleasanton in the Preserve neighborhood. The school was established in 1968 and includes grades kindergarten through 5th. In 2000, the school built a state-of-the-art, 14-classroom building.
The school principal is Colleen Henry. It's parent volunteer group, the Parent Faculty Club, is very active at the school.
Pleasanton Middle School was built in 1990 and is a California Distinguished School. It has about 1,100 students each year and has a wide variety of academic programs, extra-curricular activities and support services for it's students.
Among it's programs are Math Skills, Academic Assistance and Reading Improvement classes for students who need extra help.
Pleasanton Middle School is located in central Pleasanton, close to downtown and the city's historical areas. The principal is John Whitney and the school's mascot is the Panther.
Thomas S. Hart Middle School opened in 2000 and has a state-of-the-art facility complete with a science building, library and sports facilities. In 2007, four new classrooms were added to the campus.

The school is located in the Hacienda Business Park and enrolls about 1200 students. Since it was established, the school has been recognized as a California Distinguished School. It's curriculum includes health, history, language arts, mathematics, performing arts, physical education, science and world language.
The school has a Parent Faculty Association, which promotes volunteerism among it's members. The group also helps plan and host school events and fundraise for school-specific needs.
Callippe Preserve Golf Course is an 18-hole, par 72 golf course that offers five sets of tees. Morning and afternoon tee times and lessons are available. Tournaments are also held at this golf course, which was designed by Brian Costello and is managed by Mike Ash. Affordable rates for seniors are available. Village High School was established in 1978 for students who struggled in Pleasanton's other comprehensive high schools. Students here may have had academic and disciplinary issues. The school has around 200 students, which allows for smaller class sizes. Character education and technology usage in learning is key at this school.
One of it's more well-known programs is Culinary Arts Career Pathway, which allows students to run and contribute to a catering business. The school has been recognized as a "Model Continuation High School" several times by the state. Funds from Measure B, which voters passed in 1997, helped to build a new and renovated facility.

Pleasanton Golf Center is a local executive golf course, driving range and pro shop conveniently located at the Pleasanton Fairgrounds. It is Pleasanton's premier driving range. There are also "grab and go" and "smack and snack" deals for lunch. The Golf Center's restaurant serves sandwiches, wraps and salads.
Nicknamed "The Grove" and known for teaching students about the environment, this school was the first school in California to use solar energy in its facility in 2008. Walnut Grove Elementary also incorporates special programs including the Mind Institute's JiJi Math program, which uses visual and spatial techniques to teach math, and the Discovery program, which is a "school within a school" that uses a hands-on teaching style for enrichment. Walnut Grove (home of the Road Runners) also ascribes to a Tribes philosophy, teaching students about mutual respect, attentive listening and appreciation of community. Built in 1966, the school maintains a high level of quality and has a very active Parent Teacher Association.
