Thomas S. Hart Middle School opened in 2000 and has a state-of-the-art facility complete with a science building, library and sports facilities. In 2007, four new classrooms were added to the campus. The principal is Steve Maher, and the school mascot is the Huskies. The school is located in the Hacienda Business Park and enrolls about 1200 students. Since it was established, the school has been recognized as a California Distinguished School. It's curriculum includes health, history, language arts, mathematics, performing arts, physical education, science and world language. The school has a Parent Faculty Association, which promotes volunteerism among it's members. The group also helps plan and host school events and fundraise for school-specific needs.
