The Moores UCSD Cancer Center conducts basic and clinical research activities and provides care services for cancer patients. The center operates breast and lung cancer, melanoma, brain tumor and cancer genetics units. It specializes in blood and marrow transplants, diagnostic radiology, and leukemia and lymphoma treatments. The Moores UCSD Cancer Center conducts research programs on biology, genetics, hematological malignancies and cancer disparities. In addition, the center hosts scientific lectures throughout the academic year. It offers cancer education programs for individuals with hearing impairments. The Moores UCSD Cancer Center s community-based education programs include the Clergy Cancer Education Program and Pacific Asian Grocery Store Cancer Education Program.
