Established in 1912, St. Barnabas the Apostle Roman Catholic Church includes liturgical ministries, religious education, parish outreach and social ministries, support and prayer groups. Additionally, the parish of Saint Barnabas the Apostle provides a Catholic education to its children.

The congregation was formally organized in January 1959, and the building was constructed in 1962. Bellmore Jewish Center offers congregants several groups and a Hebrew school.
