Roscoe's is an L.A. soul-food institution. There are five locations around town in addition to this original spot in eastern Hollywood.
Southern cooking is offered in fine fashion with quality ingredients and spot-on atmosphere. In addition to the flagship chicken and waffles, a number of Southern delicacies are also offered. Roscoe's menu is far from sparse.
Prices are fairly reasonable, take-out is available and late hours are the norm.
Named for executive chef Donato Scotti, this restaurant offers contemporary northern Italian cuisine in a minimalist but welcoming setting. It serves a collection of grappas and boutique French, Italian and California wines, as well as homemade pastas and Niman Ranch meats. Donato features outdoor seating, and is available for events and online reservations.
