Kidizens is an educational enrichment program designed to help children develop real-world skills by using LEGO building blocks in a social environment. The main program is for children ages eight through 11, and allows them to work together to create their own LEGO city. There is also a Young Kidizens program designed for children ages six and seven, teaching them how to build individual buildings. Kidizens also offers a Young Senators program, where students govern a state composed of the cities built in the regular Kidizens program, as well as construct their own state capital city.
Located in downtown Los Altos Hills, Uncommon Threads offers knitting and crocheting classes. Students learn how to crochet hats and embellishments or make entrelac scarfs and fingerless mitts. Uncommon Threads also holds open knit nights and walk-in help hours. The store carries a wide range of yarns and accessories for sale.
Presto specializes in 150-hour training courses to become a certified nurse assistant (CNA). It also offers training to become licensed as a California child-care provider, training in CNA acute care, training in CPR and first aid and a review prep course for the California RN/LVN exams, conducted in Mandarin and English. Gardner Bullis School is one of seven elementary schools in the Los Altos School District. The school opened in 2008 on the site of the former Bullis Purissima School, which the district closed in 2003 due to budget cuts. The closure of the only public school left in Los Altos Hills was marked by controversy, and the opening of the new school on the old site was celebrated by residents eager to see a school there once more.

After its renovation several years ago, the school became recognized as one of the greenest and most energy-efficient in the district and its sustainable design by architect Lisa Gelfand was recognized in the Great Places Awards by the Environmental Design Research Associates. PG&E used Blach for a energy demonstration project.

This private, nonprofit high school, housed in two adjoining buildings, was founded by Dr. Herman and Jean Ohme in 2001 and is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. It is distinctive in that it specializes in one-on-one instruction. The coursework itself is traditional college preparatory material, including many AP classes, and it is accepted by the University of California and other colleges. Students range from elite dancers and athletes who need flexible scheduling to kids who simply were underserved by a more conventional high school.
