Hana Japan Steakhouse is a Teppan table restaurant where diners can watch the culinary juggling and artistic knifework of the hibachi grill chefs. Teppan tables typically seat groups of people around a large hibachi grill where each meal is prepared according to taste. In addition to the Teppan tables, there is also a separate banquet room overlooking the Berkeley Marina. The restaurant is decocrated with Japanese style wooden arbors under which all the Teppan tables are arranged, giving it a distinctive Asian flair.
Revival Bar & Kitchen is a contemporary American restaurant which specializes in using locally sourced ingredients whenever possible. Available for lunch, dinner and late-night snacking, it offers brick-oven flatbreads, soups, salads, trout, pork chops, cheese plates, as well as a happy hour Tuesday through Friday between 3:30pm and 6pm.
While excellent Indian restaurants seem to be on every other Berkeley street corner, Himalayan Flavors provides some diversity for local food lovers by combining the cuisines of India and Nepal, which tends to work on the same flavor palette, but is a little mellower. This restaurant has a limited delivery area, a private room available for guests and catering services available, but coming in to the restaurant has its privileges: The restaurant occasionally plays host to live entertainment and to Bollywood dance lessons.
