The Muscular Dystrophy Association in Broomall serves the Delaware Valley and the greater Philadelphia area. The main office is located on Reed Road in the M.A.B Building.
The Muscular Dystrophy Association serves those suffering with neuromuscular disease through programs and services. Services include providing information on local clinics, support groups, summer camps and advice on equipment loans.
Located in the basement of the Swissvale Library, the senior center offers weekly exercise programs, bingo games, parties for members, arts-and-crafts activities and numerous social opportunities for older residents. Lunch is served each day at 11:45am for a $1.50 donation; the center also has a Meals on Wheels program.
The Opportunity Council helps low-income Bucks County families reach economic self-sufficiency through a wide range of programs. It does provide financial and emergency assistance, but its main goal is to offer people the education and training to become independent and financially able to stand on their own.
