Founded in 1954, the Guidance Center is a nonprofit organization that provides services to children with developmental and mental disabilities in Cambridge, Mass. It also provides prevention, intervention and family support services. The center offers an early childhood program that provides a full range of developmental, mental health and support programs for children and their parents. Its child and adolescent services include a full range of mental health programs for children through age 22. It offers intensive family services for children and families who require more comprehensive support. Additionally, the Guidance Center s provide a variety of services, including respite care, family-centered after school programming, intensive home-based therapies and supervised visitation.
