Located in the Holy Disciples Catholic Church side parking lot, the Graham South Hill food bank is just one of the seven fish food banks serving Pierce county. The food bank is run mostly by volunteers, and it provides food to low-income and homeless individuals in the area. Contributors to the food bank can make donations by dropping off food to the bank -- perishable and canned. The food bank asks contributors to call ahead when donating perishable items to ensure that the items are well cared for.

Okanogan County Community Action Council is a community building organization located in Okanogan, Wash. The center is dedicated to raise the poor out of poverty, feed the hungry, provide affordable housing and empower community members through education. It offers rental assistance services to families and individuals in Okanogan County that are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Childhaven was established in 1909 by the Reverend Mark Matthews as the Seattle Day Nursery, one of the first 50 childcare centers in the United States. The center treats more than 400 infants and preschool children each year who are referred by Child Protective Services. Its therapeutic care is provided daily to abused, neglected and at-risk children between the ages of one month through five years. Childhaven provides nurturing experiences that aid in development. The center also features specializes care for infants and preschoolers to overcome residual effects of parents prior substance abuse either in-utero or environmentally. Its crisis nursery provides free, voluntary services to parents in crisis. Childhaven is based in Seattle.
