Founded in 1926, the Junior League of Montgomery is an educational and charitable organization. Based in Montgomery, Ala., the organization promotes a range of programs, including parenting, health and well-being, early-childhood intervention, life-skills development, domestic violence, education and children and youth. It provides volunteer support and funding to area non-profit agencies for the benefit of the Montgomery community and the personal development and education of its league members. The Junior League of Montgomery has supported numerous projects for associations, such as Brantwood Childrens Home, Bridge Builders, ClefWorks and Montgomery Cancer Wellness Center.

The Mental Health Center of Madison County is located in Huntsville, Ala. Its child and adolescent division provides mental health treatment to children with a wide range of psychiatric disorders. It offers counseling, therapies and evaluation services. The center s care division consists of psychiatrists, nurses, counselors and substance abuse specialists. The center also provides linguistically and culturally appropriate clinical services to the hearing impaired. Its services include crisis intervention, case management, linkage to community agencies and technical support. Its center s case management provides outreach and mobile services that coordinate the wide range of social, personal, financial, medical, psychiatric and transportation needs of seriously mentally ill persons. The Mental Health Center of Madison County s substance abuse prevention program includes information dissemination, education, alternatives, problem identification and referral, and community-based process.
