Orthopedic Institute, also known as OI, is one of the largest health care facilities in South Dakota. It is an independent physician group that specializes in orthopedics services. Founded in 1972, the institute offers joint replacement, pediatric care and physical medicine solutions. Orthopedic Institute also features examination and training rooms. It has a staff of more than 150 employees. In addition, the institute provides patient education services and maintains outreach clinics in Iowa and Minnesota.
