Opened in 1987 as an expansion of a South Holland dance studio, Southwest School of dance provides a wide variety of dance classes for both children and adults. Classes include an adult cardio course, hip-hop, tap, and musical theatre dance. Proper dance attire is required for all courses.

The park district acquired the land for the 6.11-acre Lewis Park in 1968. Currently, the park offers a ball field, areas for basketball and volleyball, plus an ice rink in winter and two tennis courts. There is a picnic area and picnic shelter (shelter permit required). Restrooms are available during games. The park underwent renovation and construction during the summer of 2010.

Next to the Tony Bettenhausen Recreation Center and park district offices, the district-owned White Water Canyon Water Park is a colorful and popular series of water slides, pools, play areas and the interactive fountains of the spray ground. The main pool features zero-depth entry, meaning it slants into the water like a beach. It also has a one-meter diving board, a three-meter drop slide and an interactive children's play area. There's also 600-foot lazy river for relaxing on single or double inner tubes that runs through the park and some paths with splash buckets. Sand play areas, locker rooms, restrooms and a full-service concession stand are also available. Birthday party packages are offered.
Established in 1947, The Frankfort Sportsman Club is an organization dedicated to the promotion of shotgun sports and the safe use of firearms. Located in Mokena, the Club offers members use of its five trap fields, skeet field, and five-stand field. Open since 2005, Krush is a private indoor skate park for skateboarders, inline skaters and bicyclists. The park is open every day for skaters but only at specific times for bicyclists.
