Mariners Point Golf Center offers golf instruction and practice. The facility includes the Mariners Point Bar, a fun place to relax after hitting some balls. It serves burgers and sandwiches as well as a wide selection of beverages.
King's Swim Academy is a swimming academy based in San Mateo. The academy offers swimming lessons to infants, children and adults in group and private lessons. Excluding the Parent & Me class for parents and infants, experience class levels are divided by colors, including blue, purple, yellow, green and red, ordered respectively from level of expertise. The academy also offers an adult swim.
Citi Driving School offers two separate one-one-one driving lesson programs: for beginner drivers under the age of 18 and for those who would like to learn how to drive or refresh their skills and are over 18-years-old. The cost is $50 per hour of training. After paying the tuition, participants receive an enrollment certificate, which allows them to register for the DMV written test. Teenagers need 6 hours of behind-the-wheel time and the school provides that through their trained instructors.
A World Driving School (not to be mistaken with The World Driving School) is a sole proprietorship established in 1998. It offers behind-the-wheel driving lessons to new drivers under and over the age of 18.
It also offers refresher courses and training for those with revoked or suspended driver's licenses and, if required by the DMV, a certificate of completion.
A World Driving School also provides free pick-up in the San Mateo area as well as car rental for the driving test.
Get your skate on at Ice Chalet. The rink hosts public skating sessions daily with skate rentals. Skate lessons are offered for skaters of all skill levels, in group classes or private lessons, and hockey leagues are available. The Ice Chalet can be booked for birthday parties or group events. On select evenings, enjoy a laser light show while skating.
The Highlands Recreation District is a public agency providing a range of activities for all ages. Its facilities feature a lap pool and a fitness center, that can also be rented out for private events. Seasonal camps, regular youth and adult programs and child care services are available.
