Solea, part of Waltham's Restaurant Row, opened in 2002. It was designed to create the feeling of colonial South America, while its cuisine is influenced by the foods of southern Spain. Weather permitting, it opens its large windows onto Moody Street, providing a relaxing outdoor feel. Vinoco Wine & Tapas celebrated its grand opening March 28, 2011. Owner Alex Meza started the business after noticing that there were no small-plate restaurants in the area. The cozy eatery and bar serves lunch and dinner entrees, as well, including pan-seared fish, marinated steak and chicken, sandwiches, shellfish medleys and pasta, and will continue to add to its wine and bar drink list.
