Northville's Marquis Theatre has provided 33 years of live entertainment for adults and young children. Theatrical productions of classic story-books such as Hansel and Gretel, Rapunzel, Anabella's Broom and Beauty and the Beast are its usual repertoire. Birthday parties are also available. Young children's birthday amenities include gifts, backstage passes, drinks, balloons, assigned programs for the birthday child, tables, chairs, and tablecloths. Fisher Theatre was opened as a movie and vaudeville house in 1928. It featured Mexican-Indian art, banana trees, a goldfish pond and wandering macaws that audience members fed by hand.
