The organization also provides tissue procurement and eye banking services. Paresh R. Patel, MD, is a board-certified gastroenterology specialist with expertise in all areas of clinical gastroenterology and hepatology. Dr. Patel has specialized skills in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy including biopsies of the liver and endoscopic retrograde cholangio-pancreatography (ERCP), a diagnostic procedure for diseases of the liver, bile ducts and pancreas. Dr. Patel is a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. He is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterology Association and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. In addition to patient care, Dr. Patel also served as a clinical instructor of gastroenterology at the Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center. He earned his medical degree from MS University, Medical College in India. Dr. Patel completed his internal medicine residency at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center, where he also completed his gastroenterology fellowship.
