In October of 1998 four men with over a century of combined experience in related trucking business arenas purchased the local Volvo dealership and formed Bangor Volvo Truck & Trailer Sales. Their vision for the new business centered on establishing a reputation for exceeding their customers needs. They developed a mission statement and began the push to achieve a customer base and gain respect & success in the marketplace. The first years found their major focus being one of investment and improvement. The building, the inventory, the staff and the hours of operation were all reorganized, upgraded and extensively expanded. In accordance with the original mission statement the Company assembled a staff of responsible & proficient people for all aspects of the sale and service of our products. These people were, and still are, the foundation of what would become the thriving and prominent enterprise of Bangor Truck & Trailer Sales. During the ensuing years Bangor Truck & Trailer has continued to upgrade and expand. In August of 2001 the Company acquired the Mack dealership in Hermon along with the Mack product line franchise. In order to properly represent both franchises we dropped the Volvo from our name and became Bangor Truck & Trailer Sales. As with the prior acquisition, reestablishing the confidence and respect in the Mack products was the first objective. We have also expanded our trailer lines to include Reitnouer, Red River and TrailKing. Over the years Bangor Truck & Trailer has attempted to steadfastly demonstrate to our customer base that we are committed to competently fulfilling their needs. Through dedication, long hours and hard work this group has unequivocally achieved its goal and established itself as a leader in the marketplace.
