Crooked Vine is part of the Stony Ridge family of wineries. It was created in 2000 when the Vaughn family bought the winery and continues to this day, taken over in 2007 by the Corbett family, to produce award-winning wines. This location is a tasting room that is also home to several other wineries.
Medlock Ames takes the footprint of the old historic Alexander Valley Store, but with an eco-friendly facelift. Still very quaint and inviting, the tasting room not only serves up its own wine, but pickled organic vegetables, relishes and bread.
Additionally, the entire estate runs on seven unique solar collectors providing all the energy needed by the winery. And, since it is 100% organic, not one ounce of pesticides are ever used on its plants.
There is also the Alexander Valley Bar attached, which opens from 5 - 9 pm weeknights, 5- 11 pm weekends.
