St. Johns Retirement Village, located in Woodland, Calif., is a nonprofit multilevel senior care and housing community. The institution has five levels of care, from the active independent seniors to those in need of 24-hour skilled nursing care. It is home to more than 160 seniors who are provided food, and planned outings and activities with qualified staff on hand. The campus consists of more than 12 individual four-unit cottages, over 14 apartments, and nearly 35 rooms enclosed in the personal care unit building; rooms for Alzheimers and dementia patients and beds for increased personal care. It also operates a more than 45-bed convalescent hospital, a chapel and a main dining hall and administration building. The chapel doubles as a community room for public events, such as speakers, musicians and vendors.
