Unified Grocers is a retailer-owned wholesale grocery cooperative that supplies independent retailers throughout the western United States. Headquartered in Commerce, Calif., UG provides a variety of products, including bag sales and store supplies, bakery products, corporate brands, dairy products, health and beauty products, grocery, frozen food, ice cream, specialty food, delicatessen and thaw and serve bakery products. The company also offers marketing programs including truck billboards, sales tools, product demonstration, data analysis, co-op promotions, merchandising programs and in-store advertising products. Unified Grocers was created in September 1999 as the result of a merger of Certified Grocers of Los Angeles, Calif., and United Grocers of Portland, Ore.
